Homework due Wednesday the 27th

NOTE: If you have already find 3 credible sources and completed your research notes, skip down to assignments 3 and 4.

Assignment 1 of 4
If you haven't already, find THREE sources (e.g., two in support of your argument, one against it) you will use for your research paper.

If you are using online sources, please bookmark the link and have it ready to show on your iPad OR print out hardcopies anytime next week.

If you are using any print sources (or in-person interviews), bring hardcopies of those sources and/or the names of the people you're thinking of interviewing (and reasons why, time/date of interview).

Assignment 2 of 4
Complete a set of Research Notes for your paper.  Instructions are at the bottom of the first page of the assignment handout you were given in class (i.e., your outline).  Essentially, separate your research by source (the title of the source and/or an abbreviation of the URL link) and make sure your notes fill up at least 1.5 pages.

Some Reminders
**Single-space your notes if typing them up
**More is better in terms of sources ... consider finding a fourth
**Make sure you're not just repeating info with your sources (the info from source 1 should be different from source 2 ... otherwise, you'll end up with very little research to use).

Assignment 3 of 4
In the space provided on your outline, write a one-sentence thesis statement/argument.  It should answer your paper's research question and present what you want the reader to think after reading your paper.

Assignment 4 of 4

If you haven't received approval for your second IRP book, make sure you do so by Friday the 29th. If you have questions about whether your book will be approved or not, please stop by for a quick conversation.

Please make sure you have the book's lexile level ready to show me when coming for approval. If the book's lexile level cannot be found, make sure to bring the book in.
