Revise your research question based on class Monday/Tuesday. Be prepared to present this during the next class and stay for tutoring after school Thursday should it not be ready at the end of the period Thursday/Friday.

Remember, a strong research question will be specific (it should have a focus), direct and open-ended (try phrasing your question so it begins with "How" or "Why").


Assignment 2 of 4
Find THREE sources (two in support of your argument, one against it) you are thinking of using for your research paper. We will be evaluating their credibility in class Thursday/Friday.

If you are using online sources, please bookmark the link and have it ready to show on your iPad OR print out hardcopies.

If you are using any print sources (or in-person interviews), bring hardcopies of those sources and/or the names of the people you're thinking of interviewing (and reasons why).

NOTE: If you are reasonably sure of the credibility of your sources already, it never hurts to get ahead … start your research notes using the instructions provided on the outline handout.

If you haven't finished all five steps in Achieve 3000 for "Coral Reefs Need Care" please make sure you do so before Thursday the 20th.


Assignment 4 of 4
If you haven't received approval for your second IRP book, make sure you do so by Friday the 29th. If you have questions about whether your book will be approved or not, please stop by for a quick conversation.

Please make sure you have the book's lexile level ready to show me when coming for approval. If the book's lexile level cannot be found, make sure to bring the book in.
