Use the index card(s) provided in class to record any quotes, vocabulary definitions or plot details you think you may need to answer the questions your period was given for the final. Write your name on the card and be ready to turn it in as you walk into class.
Be warned that I will take away your index card if it has inappropriate material/does not follow guidelines (do not write out your entire CEL paragraph; do not come with an index card in a size/style that I did not give you).
You will only be able to use it on the written portion of your final.
If you fail to bring your index card on the day of the final, or violate any guidelines for using one, you will not be issued a new one or allowed to make a new one before the final.
If you've lost your index card, see me. I can give you a replacement as long as you ask BEFORE the day of your final.
Finish your character pages and symbol charts!
These are separate assignments. Staple them separately.
Handwrite them, or type them. Just make sure you bring them on the day of your final. If typed, they obviously need to be printed out before class.
Format for the character page: character name, symbol, explanation of symbol's connection to character, 3 adjectives describing the character, quotes from the text (in quotation marks, properly cited by page number)
Format for the symbol chart (3 columns): for each of the 10 symbols, please (a) identify the symbol, (b) give it's meaning, (c) provide a quote where the symbol and its meaning are clear (in quotation marks, properly cited by page number)
You should have 8 character pages (46 quotes total) and 10 symbols in your symbol chart.
Bring your OMAM book if you would like to use it to study before the final. If you like, you may bring an SSR book to read after you finish your final.
Finish the Achieve 3000 lessons for "Moms to March" and "A Second Chance for Pets" if you have not already done so. Inform me when you finish "Moms to March" if you still have a 0 for it in Pinnacle.
Submit IRP materials to Turnitin.com (everything except assignment #4 and #10) if you haven't already done so or those 0s in Pinnacle will become a permanent part of your first semester grade. Inform me when it is done.
