Homework due Monday 10/28 + Tuesday 10/29

NOTE: Please bring your Pre-AP readers all of next week.
 
Assignment 1 of 5:
Reminder: You are required to do CEL paragraphs for both "Désirée's Baby" and "Sonata for Harp and Bicycle".  However, you get to choose how they will be graded. If you didn't already do so in class, please decide which paragraph will be "Paragraph A" and which will be "Paragraph B". 
 
Paragraph A will be graded using the rubric and due in hardcopy form Wednesday, October 30th at the start of class.
 
Paragraph B will be graded on a pass/no pass basis and due on Google Classroom by the end of class on Monday (10/28) or Tuesday (10/29).
 
 
Assignment 2 of 5:
By the end of Monday/Tuesday's class, be ready to submit a digital copy of Paragraph B to the Google Classroom assignment entitled "Pass/No-Pass Gothic Elements CEL Paragraph".  
 
To a get a 4, you must ...
-Upload it to Google Classroom by the end of your class period
-Complete the entire paragraph (claim sentence, setup, evidence 1, and so on)
-Cite both quotes perfectly (see me for further assistance if necessary)
 
Citation styles:
"________" (author's last name page #).     Ex. (Aiken 4).
"________?" (author's last name page #).
"________!" (author's last name page #).
For dialogue + narration: "He said, '________'" (author's last name page #).
                                        "'_________,' he said" (author's last name page #). 
 
 
Assignment 3 of 5: 
Make sure the following assignments are completed for Paragraph A before Monday/Tuesday and brought to class:
 
Graphic Organizer
Single-Paragraph Outline (a digital copy is on Google Classroom, by the way)
Rough Draft (can be handwritten or typed)
 
You will have time the first hour of class to work on Paragraph A (typing your final draft, etc.).  It will be due Wednesday, October 30th.
 
 
Assignment 4 of 5 (ongoing):
Complete any late work specifically for the 10-week grading period (which ends Wednesday for me).
