Homework due Wednesday the 30th

Assignment 1 of 5:
Add to your annotations for pp. 66-83.  You should focus in your annotations on examples of imagery, symbolism, repetition and foreshadowing.  Also look for connections to theme and ways Steinbeck builds character.

Based on the quiz you took Monday/Tuesday, you may want to go back over pp. 66-76 and make sure you have annotations on what was covered in the quiz.

Assignment 2 of 5:
Add 4-6 symbols to your log for Sections 3 and 4.

Assignment 3 of 5:
Finish a rough draft of the introduction AND first body paragraph to your literary analysis essay on Of Mice and Men if not already done.

Finish an outline of your second body paragraph so you can work on a draft of that paragraph in class in Thursday/Friday.

This essay is part of your final grade.  It is therefore ridiculously dangerous NOT to do this essay.  Your typed final draft, completed rough draft, peer editing and completed outline will all be due Monday the 3rd or Tuesday the 4th.
