The Annual Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition (PSBC), is on its 29th annual year, is an event for high school students that is hosted by American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Bernardino/Riverside Younger Member Forums. The event brings together hundreds of local high school students to participate in a full-day competition. This event is a great opportunity to emphasize the benefits of pursuing higher education and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while promoting the engineering profession in our community. Each team will plan, design and build a model bridge made of popsicle sticks and all purpose white school glue. Each team must build the lightest bridge that can carry the greatest load. Aside from the model bridge, each team will prepare technical reports, display boards, and presentations.
