We will be handing out rainbow masks to raise awareness for the national Day of Silence event happening on Friday the 14th. Traditionally, students refrain from speaking during the school day as a way to protest (acknowledge) the silencing of the LGBTQ+ community in society. Students interested in participating will receive a rainbow mask to wear on Friday (in lieu of taping their mouths shut) and explanation cards to give to their teachers explaining their participation. Participating students will be allowed to take from a selection of extras like small rainbow flags, bracelets, hair ribbons, etc.
