This course will be mainly in Spanish, the target language.  The main objective of this course is for students to communicate effectively in various situations and environments.  

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

• understand basic vocabulary, grammar, spelling, and pronunciation

• identify Spanish speaking countries and learn about their culture

• demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and presenting
